This week Boris Johnson published his 10 Point Climate Plan, laying out ambitious targets and how he plans to achieve them.
Johnson has framed this plan as an all-encompassing strategy to: create jobs, boost and green the economy, and meet climate goals.
The shift of environmental policy to the centre stage of mainstream politics is a positive development, and it is crucial to rally your local M.P. to hold Boris Johnson accountable to his word!
Let's take a look at what Johnson is proposing.

Produce enough offshore wind to power every British home, quadrupling how much we produce to 40GW by 2030
Work with industry aiming to increase low carbon hydrogen production capacity by 2030 for industry, power and homes
Advance nuclear as a clean energy source
4. Electric vehicles
Back car manufacturing bases in the West Midlands, North East and North Wales to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles
Transform the national infrastructure to better support electric vehicles
End the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030, ten years earlier than planned
